Furniture and Props Breakdown

Below are the major furniture items and props as seen in the animation and out n' around the interior.

Dresses by discopears
Clothing Cart by discopears

The clothing cart above is actually a combination of several objects. The cart is its own prop with its wheels rigged. Each empty hanger and clothes item is their own object as well. Their origin or root bone has been placed at the very top of the hanger so that each item can easily be animated to lean when the cart is moved.

Sewing Stuff by discopears

The props above are all of the sewing and workshop related items. The sewing machine has been rigged, you can animate the hammer, base (for shaking), and the wheel on the back. The spool models have multiple skins so that you can change the floss color, same with the rolls of fabric. The unwound roll of fabric seen in the back has several flexes that allow you to control bends in the fabric to make it appear wavy (as opposed to flat).

Damage by discopears

The final models shown above are various damage props that were used in the animation to help make the interior appear under kept when Applejack was failing to run the boutique. The top three sets of plans are for the door and windows. The three in the middle left are individual objects with three different skins as shown. Aside from the planks, there are two simple cobweb models.

I love that these were made available! Big thankyou there. While it's been a couple of years since I dabbled with source, I cannot get SFM to open it! Gah. I believe I have to find a bsp file but I didn't see any in the zip, I hope I figure this out soon, probably something stupid i'm missing :D

Thanks! <3

For the animation these were all built as individual assets to be loaded in and arranged into scenebuilds. In other words, there's no .bsp or map file, just a lot of models and textures. This requires some time getting things assembled but offers the most control.

Anyways, you should be able to just drag the materials and models folders in your "\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod" or equivalent directory. Then simply browse for the models in SFM, each environment is organized into their own folder.

If that doesn't work, you can always just try subscribing to them on Workshop. :)

Hmm ok. thanks :) I will check that out. My issue is whenever i'm starting a new session, it asks to load up a map file and it only looks for BSP's. going to have to look further into SFM to see how to build the map :)
